Does anyone have a great template that they'd like to share? Or a link to an online resource - I've been googling, but yet to find anything both really good and simple! Buffalo, NY. There are a couple of options.
I initially used a spreadsheet, but only put in statline and wargear for the units. Then I tried Army Builder, it was nice but 40 bucks was a littel steep. After searching around more I discovered battlescribe. You need catalogues for it, which you can either find online, or make yourself making them is time consuming but not too difficult.
The only thing is, if you download them there is no guarantee that all the information you want is available. If you make your own, you can include what the rules actually do.
Greebo had spent an irritating two minutes in that box. Technically, a cat locked in a box may be alive or it may be dead. You never know until you look. Posts: This is the template I use for my army lists.
Some key points: The two-column format is the result of a LOT of experimentation with regard to aesthetics as well as information density - the idea is that the entire list should fit on one sheet of paper, with no memorization required because all necessary information is there.
I like for the unit's special keywords line to be as short as possible, not cluttered up, to help make sure I don't forget anything during the game.
I don't list "Fast", and instead I bake it into the Speed box. I don't list "Tough", and I bake it into the Wounds box.
I don't list "Hero", and I place "Hero" in the unit's name line. For options such as Acid Bite, I modify whatever it's modifying I maintain a "card bank" at the end, which has the units' base information, assuming no upgrades.
Each "card" is actually a Table in the word document. To take that unit in my list, I simply copy the table, paste it into my list, and then tweaking it with purchased upgrades.
